it's beginning to look alot like christmas

it's christmas eve! my goodness, every year i forget how much i love it. I'm sitting here right now with a nice cup of french vanilla tea, pretending it's biting cold outside, listening to my brothers and sister discuss santa and the reindeer...there are a few interesting theories. Surprisingly, there have been no fires in our house this holiday season, nor has anything been knockd over or climbed on, we haven't even been to the ER yet! I'd say this has been a very successful christmas! ha...

I can't help but think that this next week and a half are going to go by extremely fast. chistmas break will be over, and it'll be back to classes and homework. i'm not as excited to go back to school as i thought i would be, and i'm wishing i didn't have to leave so early(the 4th). However...if it snows in chicago soon, i think i might be able to get over it! i love snow. someday i want a white christmas. i think it would be...nice. that's all.

hey look...i'm updating xanga. well the semester is getting close to being over...that is so weird. not much has been goin on here lately, just doing lots of homework and writing some papers. it's funny, cause doing homework is like a social activity...like i'll call someone and be like "hey, wanna hang out" and they're like"ok what do u wanna do" so we sit there for awhile and try to think of something to do, then we're just like, hey, lets just go to starbucks and read. it's also funny when guys try to use homework to get a date...

when i'm not doing homework, the game room is pretty much the place to be. it's always full of people trying to compensate for their academic failures by mastering ping-pong and eventually becoming the champion of moody bible. I've been working on my pool skills, and last night i won for the first time ever, breaking a losing streak of 2 months which is approximately 2,042 games. it was pretty exciting. i'm thinking of entering the school tournament....no, i'm kidding.

in other news, thanksgiving is just around the corner. it's gonna be good...i'm really excited about coming home. I'll see you guys soon....

i can't wait until tomorrow...friday!!! this week has proably been the hardest for me academically yet. i'm beginning to strongly believe that all the teachers get together and plan to assign all the big projects/tests/long homework assignments for the same week. at least i'm learning...

today i took a nap. it would have been nice, if i hadn't slept through half of choir practice...whoops. I also got to sleep in until 9:00. It was amazing. I haven't slept that long since i started school. Then i went to chapel. almost dropped my bible over the balcony. that was exciting. Then i went to OT. That class is...long. after that i ate lunch in the SDR. we had...something...i'm not really sure what it was exactly. i ate salad. oh, the joys of the SDR(student dining room). Then i did nothing. just sat around, did  some homework. now i'm here, and i'm about to go see my two friends who went on their GYROFAD("get your roommate of friend a date" it's like aa tradition here during homecoming week...), and get some juicy details. then i'm gonna go to this worship night at some church. it'll be exciting. and that's my day, for anyone who cares to know(mom...;) ) see Y'ALL later -carr

well, there goes my second week of school. Now i get a long weekend....ahh, so nice. I slept until like 12:30 today...i was tired. oh my goodness, all freshman have to take this computer literacy test thing to see if we know how to work computers, so i took it the other day, and apparently i live in the dark ages, cause I got like 8 out of 30 right. It was pretty pathetic. So now I have to take these 2 computer classes, which is dumb.

My roommate and I have a cute room now. We went to target the other day and bought a really cool lamp and some curtains, and we didn't even need help putting the lamp together. I was pretty impressed with us. We make fun of ourselves for turning into losers at college...like we take naps all the time, and last night(friday night) a few of our friends wanted to go out on the town and stuf, and we were like "no, we don't really feel like it...lets just play cards in the lounge". it was fun though. ok, its time for more homework...or at least it's time for me to think about doing homework, but make up excuses for about an hour, THEN do homework. that pretty much sums it up...college is a crazy place. This morning it was raining profusely, and of course my class was all the way at the other end of the campus. that made me sad. Especially since I had just used my roommate's $100 straightener the night before, and the rain made it all frizzy. *sigh* such is life....no, but seriously this has been a great few weeks, and i think it's just gonna get better from here. I have a crazy schedule. It's fun.

I really miss you guys. I wish you could all come to chicago, we'd have so much fun! And if i don't call or write much, it's not that i don't love you or don't wanna talk, it's just i'm incredibly busy, and...i'll try my best. love y'all!!
